Hi, I'm Victoria!

Here’s a wee bit about who I am, where I came from and how I got here!

I have spent most of my professional life Directing, Producing, Writing and Performing in all manners of medium including Theatre, Film, T.V and yes even cheesy radio jingles. Hey it paid the rent!

Now I’m throwing all my creative clutter into one big boiling cauldron, together we will collaborate to create the most magical, memorable and historical ceremonies you dare to dream about.

I'm an Ayrshire lass, born, bred and based but if your 'onceuponaceremony' requires me to venture over the border then I shall hoist up my girdle, saddle up and join you, nae bother!

My Story, My Beliefs

I am a spiritual creature in my soul so every ceremony we create will be authentic, hold deep meaning, traditional values and will resonate throughout the universe for all eternity.

If you want quirky, crazy & fun we will brainstorm your ideas and bring together an epic ceremony that will quite literally become a showstopper. If you prefer a gentle more traditional romantic ceremony, I love romance! Then the beautiful energy we will create with your ceremony will have all your family & friends holding you in their hearts and memories forever more.

I'm an Ayrshire lass through and through, my roots are firmly bedded in Scottish soil, well almost, I must confess my dad was English but lets not tell anyone about my Sassenach heritage. (only kidding dad!)

I spent my early years living abroad and when my family returned to the UK my mum insisted that we come home to her beloved Ayrshire. I always had an interest in the Arts, so at the tender age of 16 I was the first Scottish lass to be accepted into the BRIT School, so I packed my knapsack hopped on a train and headed to London to seek my fortune. I then attended Mountview Theatre school graduating in the mid 90’s. In my early 30’s I started my family, moved back to Scotland to a wee toon called Callander, bought a small hotel and began a brand-new chapter.

I have two incredible boys, Jack and Billy (now both teenagers) who I raised as a single mum, its not all been rainbows and unicorns but my goodness I would not have had it any other way, they have given me the strength and courage to keep moving forward even on the darkest days, and when they don’t or they have driven me round the bend I find a large glass of red wine is just as helpful..

I moved back home to Troon with my boys in 2015, started working within the family business, met a fabulous new fella and thought that was that, but deep in my heart I knew it wasn’t, I felt empty and directionless, don’t get me wrong I was incredibly grateful but I had lost…me!

What I now know to be true is that ‘the universe’ or ‘guides’ or ‘spirit’ (however you relate) had something wonderful in store for me.

My spiritual journey began many years before, I have joined churches dabbled in different beliefs and faith systems, but I just didn’t seem to fit or belong anywhere in particular, what was wrong with me?

It was while I was at a funeral that I was first introduced to the work of a Celebrant, I had not a scooby what a ‘Celebrant’ was but over the following months I couldn’t stop thinking about that ceremony and the beautiful story that had been told. I had a niggle, perhaps you might call it an inner voice or a nudge or even a bloody good shove from a greater force and before I knew it, I found myself on a Zoom meeting with the fabulous Lindy Irving. And the rest as they say is history!

What I wasn’t expecting was that I had finally found my tribe. My spirituality which I had found so confusing was not about fitting in to any one religion, following their rules and restrictions, it was about an inner knowing that we are all part of something much greater, knowing we are free to believe and trust in what we feel is right for us, as long as our beliefs come from a place of kindness and love there is a place for all of us and perhaps we can leave this world a wee bit better than when we found it.
